S&P Taps Bear Stearns CDO Analyst

Standard & Poor's has hired Milbert Bentham from Bear Stearns for a new role as an associate director in its collateralized debt obligation manager focus group in New York.

Standard & Poor's has hired Milbert Bentham from Bear Stearns for a new role as an associate director in its collateralized debt obligation manager focus group in New York. Bentham, who spent about three and a half years at Bear Stearns, started at S&P last week and reports to Mark Gaw, head of the group. He said the position has been added to bolster S&P's coverage of CDO managers and their performance. Gaw noted the hire is the second in recent months for the group, which added Rana Quraishi in a similar role earlier this year. She joined from a non-structured finance position at UBS.

Bentham, who recently was married and changed her last name from Kiggundu, had worked in the CDO research group at Bear Stearns under Gyan Sinha, senior managing director. He declined to comment.
