Moody's Investors Service has set the coverage areas for the five managing directors in its collateralized debt obligation group, following the recent elevation of two staffers to the managing director level. Gus Harris is now in charge of the CDO surveillance and research services and deals backed by cash flows from small and medium enterprises, while Gary Witt runs coverage of esoteric structures including collateralized fund obligations and catastrophe bonds. Meanwhile, Yuri Yoshizawa heads up a team rating synthetic CDOs and Bill May runs analysis of structured notes, repackagings and other complex CDO structures. Finally, Jerry Gluck is in charge of research products, including a soon-to-be-released tool called CDO Analytics. The changes became effective earlier this month, according to Lisa Tibbitts, spokeswoman.
The changes come in response to the recent promotion of Witt and Yoshizawa to managing director (BW, 3/8). All five of the CDO managing directors report to Noel Kirnon, group managing director.
