Peter Benoist, a Citigroup par loan salesman, has been moved across to fill the par trading spot left vacant when Peter Lapina moved over to the distressed trading side. Last month, Lapina moved to Citi's distressed debt platform after an attempt from Goldman Sachs to attract him to its trading group (LMW, 4/19). Benoist will work alongside Citi's other par trader, James Nessel. Jonathan Calder, Citigroup's head of loan sales and trading, did not return calls. Benoist declined comment. Lapina is now teamed with Jeff Jacob, head of the distressed loan and bond trading, and Paul Zingarini, a distressed loan trader.
