Stephen Roughton-Smith, managing director in European structured finance at Moody's Investors Service, has joined ABN AMRO's structured risk interface (SRI) group in London as a managing director responsible for asset securitization and structured capital products, according to an ABN AMRO official. Roughton-Smith joins the SRI management team, headed by Karl Guha, and will report to Joe Rizzi, executive v.p. and SRI's global head of structured credit markets in Amsterdam. As a part of the SRI team, Roughton-Smith will work in close partnership with Mike Nawas, global head of asset securitization, and Gavin Alexander, global head of structured capital, according to the ABN AMRO official.
Roughton-Smith focused on esoteric ABS, SIVs, repackaging and monitoring at Moody's. He reported to Frederic Drevon, group managing director of structured finance for Europe, Middle East & Africa.
