Lehman Brothers in London has hired two professionals for asset-backed research, bringing the team to five. Varqa Khadem, associate in the risk solutions group at Standard and Poor's in London, has joined as a director. And Aleksandar Devic, who recently received a PhD in finance from Cambridge University in the U.K., has started as a senior associate.
Both hires are research generalists and report to Krishna Prasad, head of European ABS/MBS research in London. He said the hires will allow the team to deepen and broaden its coverage of the fast-growing European asset- and mortgage-backed sector.
At S&P, Khadem reported to Aidan O'Mahony, managing director in the risk solutions group in London, according to Felicity Albert, spokeswoman.
