BNP Paribas in London has lost two professionals from its securitization team. Chris Ames, head of asset-backed research, and Satish Selvanathan, an official on the European ABS syndicate desk, have both left the firm. Ames, reached on his cell phone, declined to disclose where he is headed but said he is taking a different role at a firm that is not a competitor to BNP Paribas. Selvanathan will be joining Barclays Capital in London, according to a former colleague, but he could not be reached and his new role could not be determined.
At BNP Paribas, Ames reported to Eric Dumas, head of the flow credit business, and Selvanathan to Guy Hart, European head of ABS syndicate. Ruth Lavalle, spokeswoman, declined comment.
