Mortgage Delinquencies Up 50% In May Mortgage delinquencies were up 8.49% in May, a 50% increase from a year earlier, according to Lender Processing Services. LPS also found that foreclosure starts in May rose 4.3% to its second-highest level since the firm began keeping records in 1992.
