U.S. District Judge Richard Leon of Washington, D.C., has dropped J. Timothy Howard, former cfo at Fannie Mae, from a lawsuit brought by shareholders charging the government-sponsored enterprise misled them about the agency’s financial health from 2001 to 2004.
