IMF Concerned about Albania's debt

Mission arrives in Tirana

An IMF mission arrived in Albania on Wednesday to discuss problems related to the stock and management of public debt. Minister of finance Ridvan Bode discussed these issues with IMF expert from the Fiscal Affairs Department Brian Olden leading the delegation. The mission will remain in Tirana until the end of the month and will hold meetings with representatives from relevant institutions which partake in the administration of the debt. The stock of public debt in Albania was estimated at about 57-58% of GDP, while the fiscal deficit was kept at 4.6% of GDP last year.
