Turkish treasury successfully issues another 5-year local currency bond

The Treasury has successfully placed yesterday a 5-year bond with floating interest rates paid semi-annually. The net borrowing amount is reported at TRY 923mn. The averaged price of the bond is 100.05. Interest payments will be based on 6-month reference bills increased by a premium of 1.5pps.

The Treasury has TRY 4.4bn redemption this week, TRY 3.8bn of which is to the market. The Treasury borrowed TRY 1.9bn in the 6-month bill auction held on February 23, thus the borrowing in two days reached TRY 4.1bn, close to its redemption amount.
