We will continue to grow in the right way, but we also want to grow faster. Growing in the right way means growing while reducing inequalities among people and among regions; it is growth combined with income distribution, knowledge and quality of life. Growing faster means removing obstacles and putting the country on a path that is more compatible with its potential and with its strength. Growing in the right way means growing with fiscal balance, with debt reduction and with less external vulnerability.
Growing faster means creating jobs and generating more wealth. Growing in the right way is growing without inflation and without price control. Growing faster means boosting industry, agriculture and services at every level. Growing in the right way means preserving and expanding civil liberties and democratic rights. This is about setting up a new culture of production and labour that underpins the fundamental values of the Brazilian society.
