In the article “A shock to the system” published in Emerging Markets on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, we state that Pakistan’s finance minister Ishaq Dar was “imprisoned for more than a year on corruption charges that were never substantiated,” under the previous government.
Mr. Dar has pointed out that, like many politicians under the military government at the time, he was held under house arrest and that no charges were ever brought against him. We regret any confusion our report may have caused.
