Irish RMBS performance should see boost from increased restructuring

Irish late stage mortgage arrears remain among the highest in Europe. According to Moody’s, the increased use of long term restructuring options has improved the country's mortgage arrears crisis, but it is far from resolved.

A Moody’s research note this week indicated that the Irish banking sector is taking positive steps towards addressing borrowers’ payment problems.

The increased use of restructuring methods and restructuring targets are part of the tactics.
