Morgan Keegan has hired a new collateralized mortgage obligation trader for its Memphis office. Jamie Kirshbaum joined the firm on Dec. 6 and reports to Chris Perkins, head trader at Morgan Keegan, according to Perkins. Kirshbaum left NBC Capital Markets Group where he reported to Joe Gilmore, head of trading.
The new addition brings Morgan Keegan's CMO desk back up to two traders, as Kirshbaum replaces David Randle, who left in mid-November and started work as director of proprietary mortgage trading at BNP Paribas earlier this month.
