Bank of America in London has added two in its European leveraged debt capital markets and financial sponsors group. Frits Prakke, director in high-yield capital markets at Merrill Lynch in London, joins this week as a principal in high-yield capital markets. Lisa Lambie, v.p. in corporate finance at privately held Canadian mutual fund company AIC, where she headed up the private equity initiative in Latin America and the Caribbean, started recently as a v.p. Both report to Rommie Bhutani, who leads the group. Bhutani declined comment on BofA's hiring activity as well as its strategy in European high yield.
At Merrill, Prakke had reported to Ian Gilday, head of European leveraged finance capital markets. Gilday recently left to take a position with Goldman Sachs (BW, 3/21).
Lambie spent over two years at AIC, which is headed by Michael Lee-Chin and has about $11 billion in assets under management. Before that she was in the leveraged finance group at J.P. Morgan in London.
