Nomura Securities International in London has hired Akshay Mishra, v.p. in real estate finance and securitization at Merrill Lynch, as a v.p. in the asset finance group. He starts in June and will focus on structuring commercial mortgage-backed securitizations. Mishra will report to Nitin Bhandari, head of securitization within the asset finance group. Officials at Nomura confirmed the hire but declined further comment. Mishra also declined comment.
At Merrill, Mishra reported to Stephen Green, head of real estate finance and securitization. Green did not return calls.
