Moody’s Investors Service says it has cut the ratings on roughly 3,000 tranches of securities mainly consisting of Alt-A mortgages.

Moody’s Investors Service says it has cut the ratings on roughly 3,000 tranches of securities mainly consisting of Alt-A mortgages. Moody’s said it made the ratings deductions as a result of "rapid increasing" delinquencies and slower prepayments, among other factors, on loans issued in 2006 and 2007. ...
