Treasury OKs 10 Banks For Repayment
The Department of Treasury is permitting 10 of the country’s largest banks to repay a total of $68 billion in rescue money they received from the government. In making the announcement, Treasury did not identify the banks but said the institutions met the requirements established for repayment for participants in the Capital Purchase Program, which will total $68 billion.
