GSEs Won’t Buy MBS, Says Geithner

Timothy Geithner, the secretary of the Treasury, said Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are not expected to be active buyers or sellers of mortgage-backed securities after the Federal Reserve program to purchase MBS ends this month.
