Representatives from the Federal Reserve of New York, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Committee on Financial Services met with investment banks and other private investors to seek help on how the federal government can repair the securitization market.

Representatives from the Federal Reserve of New York, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Committee on Financial Services met with investment banks and other private investors to seek help on how the federal government can repair the securitization market. Meeting during a lunch break at a housing finance summit arranged by President Barack Obama, the group discussed, among other things, how to generate interest in securitization by private investors.
