French Banks Turn To MBS, Structured Products To Raise Funds
France’s four largest banks are selling their debt through structured products and issuing mortgage-backed securities on properties in Paris and elsewhere in the country to raise an estimated EUR37 billion ($48 billion) to pay off debts due in the first quarter of next year.
