Regs May Be Mixed Blessing For TruPS CDOs

Proposed regulations by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. could be a “positive credit event” for senior note holders and potentially negative for subordinate tranches in TruPS collateralized debt obligations, according to Fitch Ratings.
