UBS Securities has added a banker to its New York-based origination team for collateralized debt obligations of structured finance assets. Andrei Litvintsev, formerly a CDO structurer at Bear Stearns, joined UBS in recent weeks as an associate, and will focus on originating so-called multisector CDOs. He reports to Jim Stehli, executive director and head of structured finance CDOs, who declined to comment. Litvinsev joins as a replacement for Ron Cuscia, who was transferred to London to focus on European ABS CDO origination earlier this year in a new role.
UBS has a separate CDO origination team, based in Stamford, Conn., that originates deals backed by straight corporate debt, such as bonds and loans, under group heads Jeff Herlyn and Mike Rosenberg.
A Bear Stearns official referred queries to Michele Agostinho, a spokeswoman, who did not return a call by press time.
