Second-Lien RMBS Send Ambac To Deeper Loss

Ambac Financial Group’s first quarter loss was about 75% deeper than a year ago, thanks in part to write-downs in second-lien residential mortgage-backed securities and a change in certain accounting standards the company has adopted.
