Trial Mods Up, Foreclosures Down

The nation’s largest mortgage servicers increased the number of trial modification programs by 34% and reduced new foreclosure actions by 16% in the fourth quarter from the preceding three-month period, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
