The Bond Market Association's library of outstanding collateralized debt obligations is scheduled to go live in the coming months, according to a member of the trade group's CDO committee. The BMA recently unveiled plans to launch an information portal for CDO investors and dealers over the Web, in a move aimed at increasing transparency for the Rule 144a market (BW, 7/21). The trade group is currently in the process of collecting data and information on outstanding transactions and expects to launch the library soon, perhaps by the end of the year or with Jan. 1 as a start date, according to the BMA committee member. Nadine Cancell, v.p. and assistant general counsel at the trade group, says it has not yet finalized when the site will be fully functional.
Currently, investors and dealers who want to find information on CDOs must get it from the underwriters or from third-party analytical providers such as Intex Solutions.
