Steve DiTursi, who joined Keefe, Bruyette, & Woods about a year ago as a corporate bond trader covering utilities and industrials, recently left the firm for Maxcor Financial Inc., an inter-dealer broker. DiTursi, who started at Maxcor at the beginning of the year, joins as a managing director in charge of corporate bond sales, trading and research. He declined to comment.
Craig Coats, co-head of fixed income at KBW, said DiTursi had been hired last year as part of a broader push to grow the firm's fixed-income business (BW, 1/20). He declined to comment on the reason for DiTursi's resignation or say whether the firm will fill his role except to say it is always on the lookout for strong candidates. Prior to his position at KBW, DiTursi was head of corporate bond trading at RW Pressprich & Co.
