Morgan Stanley has hired a trio of ex-Fleet Securities loan pros. Todd Dahlstrom, Michael Cunningham, and Eric Vandermel will begin their new roles on May 1.

Morgan Stanley has hired a trio of ex-Fleet Securities loan pros. Todd Dahlstrom, Michael Cunningham, and Eric Vandermel will begin their new roles on May 1. Dahlstrom and Cunningham will be joining Morgan Stanley's sales team and will report to Roger Gilbert, also a loan salesman for the firm. Vandermel will be joining the firm's research team and will report to Andrew Brenner, head of distressed debt research at Morgan Stanley. One source said the trio would remain in Boston. Calls to officials at Morgan Stanley were referred to a spokeswoman who confirmed the hires.

Fleet's loan syndication and trading teams were said to be eliminated in conjunction with the firm's merger with Bank of America, according to market sources. Dahlstrom, Cunningham, and Vandermel could not be reached. Calls to Fleet were forwarded to B of A officials.
