Standard & Poor's is reshuffling its top structured finance brass and creating a new analytics group, as first reported last Wednesday on BW's Web site (www.bondweek.com). Pat Jordan, managing director and global head of asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities ratings, is shifting to run the collateralized debt obligation ratings group. She replaces Richard Gugliada, managing director and head of the global group, who is moving to spearhead a new global analytics group at S&P. Meanwhile, Jordan is being replaced by Rosario Buendia, also a managing director, who is currently practice leader for Latin American structured finance ratings. Buendia will retain that role in addition to assuming Jordan's old responsibilities. All three report to Joanne Rose, executive managing director of structured finance ratings, according to a spokesman who declined to provide further details. The changes were announced internally early last week. Officials at the firm referred calls to Adam Tempkin, spokesman. He said the shift is being made to allocate senior management resources, namely Gugliada, to the new analytics group as part of a broader investment by S&P into the development of analytical models and tools.
