Citigroup in London has hired Cyril Martinez, managing director in high-yield sales at Credit Suisse First Boston in London, as a managing director in its high-yield sales team. He starts in early September and will report to Mickey Brennan, head of European high-yield and distressed debt sales. Brennan said Citigroup is expanding its sales team, and plans three more hires in distressed debt sales in the near future. Martinez was on gardening leave and could not be reached.
At CSFB, Martinez reported to Bob Ferguson, head of high-yield sales. Ferguson did not return calls by press time.
