ACA Capital has added a trader to its asset-backed securities group. Ed Santiago has joined the New York-based asset manager as a v.p. and reports to Laura Schwartz, managing director and head of proprietary collateralized debt obligations. His previous position was in securitization for the sub-prime division at Chase Home Finance, where he reported to Doug Potolsky, then head of the capital markets division, and to Richard Silverstein, cfo and head of the secondary market division.
Schwartz said she added Santiago now in order to increase her team's level of experience. Potolsky has since left for Washington Mutual and Silverstein did not return a call by press time.
