More ABS reaches investors in 2014 - just

New securitization data from the Association for Financial Markets in Europe shows European issuers placed €1.8bn more paper with investors in 2014 than the previous year, though they retained a greater proportion of their own notes.

Placed European issuance totalled €77.6bn last year, compared to €75.8bn in 2013. However, issuers also retained €138.4bn of bonds, some 64% of the total structured in Europe last year, compared to a retention ratio of just 58% in 2013.
