Targeting Toxics Seen Unlikely To Stabilize Prices

Depressed prices and continued volatility in the asset- and mortgage-backed securities markets will not recover through government purchases of toxic securities, Samir Shah, senior v.p. of MF Global’s ABS/MBS group, said Sunday.
