GSE Settles With TBW Over Phantom MBS

Freddie Mac has reached a settlement with Taylor, Bean & Whitaker over phantom loans the bankrupt lender allegedly included in mortgage-backed securities, but for only about $1 billion of the $45 billion the government-sponsored enterprise had sought.
