Nearly All Refis Are Fixed Rate, Says Freddie Mac

Freddie Mac reports that more than 95% of all borrowers who refinanced in the fourth quarter opted for fixed-rate loans, including those who originally had adjustable rate mortgages.

Freddie Mac reports that more than 95% of all borrowers who refinanced in the fourth quarter opted for fixed-rate loans, including those who originally had adjustable rate mortgages. The government-sponsored enterprise also said that 43% of borrowers with 30-year fixed-rate mortgages refinance to 15- and 20-year terms.
