The Co-Operative Group has pulled out of a deal to acquire 630 branches from Lloyds Banking Group in the face of stricter regulations and a gloomier economic outlook.

The Co-Operative Group has pulled out of a deal to acquire 630 branches from Lloyds Banking Group in the face of stricter regulations and a gloomier economic outlook. Lloyds now plans to spin off the branches under the TSB brand and sell shares in the company.
