MOEX plans FX build-out but hits derivatives glitch

Moskovskaya Birzha (Moscow Exchange, or MOEX) has vowed to improve risk management and will expand the range of foreign exchange services it provides.

MOEX outlined its plans a day after it suffered the latest in a number of interruptions to derivatives trading. On Monday, Russia’s biggest exchange for stocks, derivatives and FX, halted derivatives trading from 11.20am to 12.15pm Moscow time, after brokers reported problems with access.
