Beijing Hyundai overtakes VW to break China auto ABS record

Volkswagen’s record for the tightest priced China auto ABS, set only a fortnight ago, was broken this week. Beijing Hyundai Auto Finance, which made its securitization debut with a Rmb1.5bn ($228m) deal, is the new record holder.

The Chinese auto ABS market has roared off the starting grid this year, first with VW’s Rmb2.99bn Driver China Three and now Beijing Hyundai’s Autopia China 2016-1 Retail Mortgage Loan Securitization Trust.
