India and Singapore tackle investment trust rules

India’s stock market regulator has published consultation papers on real estate and infrastructure investment trusts while Singapore’s financial regulatory authority has firmed up its rules for real estate investment trusts (Reits).

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) released a paper — covering topics including the filing, pricing and allotment of public Reit issuance — on December 31. It has given the public until January 15 to comment on the guidelines.
