Spanish water utility seeks €200m debut

Aigües de Barcelona, which provides water and sewerage services to the Catalonian capital, has mandated Credit Suisse and local firm Trea Capital Partners for a possible €200m bond.

The company was established in July 2013, combining the local water distribution business of Aguas de Barcelona (Agbar) and the waste water service of Àrea Metropolitana de Barcelona, the municipal authority.

AMB continues to own 15% of the company, with Agbar owning the rest.
