Slim pickings in snoozy August US markets

The US corporate bond market all but closed this week as issuance of investment grade transactions dwindled further and high yield deal flow ceased altogether.

a1368A single deal was priced on Monday, making it the lowest volume for a Monday so far this year. The transaction – a $150m 10 year from Atlantic City Electric Co – was issued with a coupon of 3.375% at 100bp over Treasuries.
