Bankers familiar with US PPs eye European PP market warily
The International Capital Markets Association is trying to help foster a pan-European private placement market, but bankers are cautions about the market and do not expect it to make up a big part of their business, they have told GlobalCapital.
“We continue to focus on core clients and try to identify the best funding opportunities for them, including the European PP market,” said Pascal Bay, head of EMEA corporate debt capital markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. “However, we will remain selective in our approach.”
