Singapore’s FCT in loan talks for S$305m acquisition

Real estate company Frasers Centrepoint Trust is speaking to banks for a potential loan to back its S$305m ($242.8m) acquisition of Changi City Point, according to a source.

Singapore’s FCT, a real estate investment trust, on Tuesday said it was acquiring Changi — a three-storey retail mall located close to the Singapore Expo. FCT, which is managed by Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management, is funding the purchase via a combination of debt and equity.
