China eyes OTC derivatives expansion

China wants to further expand its over-the-counter derivatives market, in addition to developing a more accurate benchmark, as it continues to open up its capital account to the outside world.
Cheng Haibo, deputy division director, division of information and statistics, department of futures supervision at the China Securities Regulatory Commission, said China was keen to make more attempts in the OTC market. “We are still learning,” he said in the keynote address at the Futures and Options World
