European corp bonds hit record week on deep, deep bid

Barring last minute upsets, this week is the busiest ever for European corporate bond issuance in the European market, Global Capital calculations and Dealogic data suggest - though by a narrow margin of just €270m, writes Jon Hay.

Corporate issuance was €17bn by the end of Thursday, but €1.5bn of deals on Friday have pushed it to a highest-ever total of €18.548bn.The figures exclude dollar issuance, since that is a separate market which follows different dynamics.
