Deutsche Bank Hires High-Grade Trader From Morgan Stanley

BondWeek is the leading news publication for fixed-income professionals, covering new deals, structures, asset-backed securities, industry and market activity.

Deutsche Bank has hired Craig Spivey for its high-grade trading desk. It could not be determined whether the position is a new one, but the word on the Street is that Deutsche Bank is looking to make further additions to its high-grade desk. Stephen Murphy, Deutsche Bank's head of credit trading, did not return a call.

Spivey joins from Morgan Stanley, where he was a principal who traded industrial credits, including defense, auto parts, energy and chemicals. Tom Thees, head of high-grade trading at Morgan Stanley, says of Spivey, "He had a great opportunity. He was a terrific trader here for 12 years and we wish him the best."
