Calyon and Morgan Stanley have won plum roles in the acquisition financing of next year — the private equity buy-out of flagship carrier, Qantas.

The Qantas board accepted a revised offer on Wednesday from the Macquarie Bank-led consortium, paying shareholders $5.60 a share and valuing the airline at A$11.1bn.
