Vietnam's PVEP shortlists two groups for $200m loan

PetroVietnam Exploration and Production (PVEP) has shortlisted two bidding groups to arrange a $200m-$300m offshore loan, adding to the list of Vietnamese borrowers looking to tap the international syndicated loan market.

Calyon and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp will be fighting for the mandate against Standard Chartered.

But this deal for PVEP is only one out of many Vietnamese borrowers who are seeking offshore loans.
