Cheer in equity mart prompts block sales, IPOs

There were encouraging signs this week that equity investors’ confidence is returning, and that they believe markets will not fall back to their recent lows.

Three days of solid trading on Tuesday, Wednesday and yesterday (Thursday) drew equity sellers into the market, with a flow of accelerated block trades. Several IPOs are also proceeding.
