Cargill planning baht debut with Citi
Cargill, the US food and commodities company, is meeting with Thai investors this week ahead of a planned Bt3.5bn ($104m) deal next month. The issuer, one of 15 to be given permission by Thailand’s Ministry of Finance, has appointed Citigroup as the sole lead for the deal, a spokesman at Cargill told EuroWeek on Monday. The company will swap any baht proceeds back into US dollars. Read EuroWeek on Friday for local currency news.
